A: 这个酒怎么叫“酒鬼”啊?

How can this alcohol say it's “Alcohol for Alcoholics”?
B: 这有什么奇怪的。说明这个酒很好,大家很喜欢喝啊。
zhè yǒu shénme qíguài de. shuōmíng zhè ge jiǔ hěn hǎo, dàjiā hěn xǐhuan hē a.
There's nothing strange about it. It means that this alcohol is really good and that everyone should like it.
A: 可是“酒鬼”在英文里是贬义词,像是骂人的话。怎么会有人买呢!
kěshì" jiǔguǐ” zài Yīngwén lǐ shì biǎnyìcí, xiàng shì màrén de huà. zénme huì yǒurén mǎi ne!
But “alcoholic” in English is a derogatory term. It's like cursing someone. How can people buy it!
B: 在中国,爱喝酒不是什么坏事。喝酒能助兴嘛。
zài Zhōngguó, ài hējiǔ bùshì shénme huàishì. hējiǔ néng zhùxìng ma.
In China, loving to drink alcohol isn't considered a bad thing. Drinking alcohol can help make you happy.
A: “酒鬼”不是爱喝酒,是酗酒吧。这是两回事。
" jiǔguǐ” bùshì ài hējiǔ, shì xùjiǔ ba. zhè shì liǎnghuíshì.
“Alcoholic” isn't a love of alcohol; it's drinking to excess. These are two different things.
B: 中国有很多有名的“酒鬼”呢。“竹林七贤”里的刘伶就是有名的“酒鬼”啊!
Zhōngguó yǒu hěn duō yǒumíng de" jiǔguǐ” ne." zhúlínqīxián” lǐ de Liú Líng jiùshì yǒumíng de" jiǔguǐ” a!
China has a lot of famous “alcoholics”. Liu Ling, one of the Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove is a famous “alcoholic”.

B: 他是魏晋时的名人,成天喝得醉醺醺的,是正宗的酒鬼。

He's a famous person from the Wei-Jin Period who was drunk all day long. He's a traditional alcoholic.

What are you talking about? This was a reflection of his free and unrestrained demeanor.
